The RSPO Product Type List is intended to function in a similar manner to the FSC Product Classification addendum to FSC Standards and is expected to be eventually published as a standalone RSPO Document acting as a supplementary document to RSPO Standards.
Please note that the RSPO Product Type List is meant to be continuously updated over time after launch, to cater to new certified products made available through RSPO SCC Certification and adjustments/revised to better align with business operations or market conditions.
The RSPO Product Class Version 1.0 and RSPO Business Type Version 1.0 lists are expected to be published as part of the revised RSPO SCC Standard to ensure that the Standard and prisma are aligned.
Your feedback and input will be used to improve the RSPO Product Type List ver1.0 into a refined ver1.1 for use during the trial implementation. The trial implementation itself is intended to address these issues in prisma through a controlled and structured manner, without replacing any existing, concurrent, or alternate functions that are already in use by prisma users.
The trial implementation will be available on an optional basis for RSPO Members and prisma users who have an immediate need for, or wish to make use of, the expanded trial functions. Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in development for the prisma Helpdesk and the RSPO Secretariat teams to guide, advise, and support RSPO Members and prisma users who wish to use the trial functions, which include:
- Announcements and Trace* functions available for post-refinery sites in the prisma Physical Trade Reporting module, to be used as optional or as required for business operations.
- Conversion rights granted to post-refinery sites in prisma by request to the prisma Helpdesk, for conversion of input Product Types into output Product Types.
- Remapping of existing stock management, and product list within the prisma Trade module (including Physical Trade Announcement, Stock Management, Conversion, and Trace functions) of sites and RSPO Members who wish to use the trial functions. Requests for such remapping or alignment with the RSPO Product Type List ver 1.1 may be submitted to the prisma Helpdesk.
* This includes the updated Trace function that can be extended to non-members of the RSPO by application for a prisma Registration ID by request to the RSPO Secretariat. Please see the July 2025 announcement for details.
Further details on the Trial Implementation will be published ahead of the rollout date, expected by end-November 2025.
